Customer Testimony to the Ruggedness of the QTERM-G70

How rugged is the QTERM-G70? Hear about one of our customer's recent experiences.

"We use the waterproof Hammond PJ1086 fibreglass case to house our QSI QTERM-G70 terminals. This is a very rugged case that has served us very well. In April, 2006 we shipped two Visual Sorter work-stations to a customer in Boston via a ground carrier.

Unfortunately, something very heavy must have fallen on our package during the journey because, as you can see from the pictures, they got very badly smashed. We had the power transformer secured to its socket with a fairly heavy nylon tie strap. The shock of whatever hit the package was strong enough to break that tie.

We expected the worst - how could the QTERM-G70 terminals survive an impact that smashed those cases so badly?

However, to our delight, they were totally undamaged! When we took them out of the broken cases, wiped them off and plugged them in, they performed exactly the same as when they were shipped. Very impressive!"
